MUSIC & CULTURE EXPANDING
I have always been passionate about connecting art and community, not only through music but also through preserving and promoting traditional cultural values. With the belief in the power of art in changing society, I have participated in founding musical activities to support charity programs and raise community awareness. At the same time, I have also actively participated in preserving family traditions, contributing to maintaining and promoting the cultural values of the nation. These experiences have helped me better understand the importance of connecting the past and the present, between art and the community in building a sustainable and humane society.
Co-founder & Guitarist
Music band Groove for Giving
A Hanoi-based student band founded by high school musicians, dedicated to fundraising through live performances and creative ventures to support community development and charitable causes
As a Co-founder and Guitarist of the music band Groove for Giving, I have been deeply involved in every aspect of the band's journey, from its inception to the impactful performances we deliver today. The band was born out of a shared belief that music has the power to connect people, inspire change, and make a tangible difference in the community. Our mission has always been clear: to raise funds for charity and support social causes through the universal language of music.
I have had the privilege of organizing and performing in several fundraising concerts, with our signature event being the "Memory Lane" music series, which we hold annually. These events, which bring together artists and musicians from various schools, have helped raise awareness about important social issues, while also bringing joy and unity through music. Over the years, our performances have attracted hundreds of attendees, with all proceeds going toward charitable causes, particularly initiatives focused on supporting underprivileged children and marginalized communities.
In addition to performing, I’ve been responsible for managing the logistics of each event. This included negotiating with venues, collaborating with other musicians, and ensuring the smooth execution of all activities. This leadership role has taught me how to effectively manage time, work under pressure, and understand the value of collaboration. My involvement in Groove for Giving has also deepened my commitment to using music not just as a form of expression, but as a platform for social good.
Through this journey, I have learned invaluable lessons about responsibility, empathy, and the importance of giving back to the community. The band's success is not just measured by the funds raised, but by the sense of purpose we create through each performance, and the positive impact we bring to those who need it the most. Being part of Groove for Giving has strengthened my belief in the power of music to drive meaningful change, and it continues to fuel my passion for community service and creative collaboration.

Family Responsibility & Charity Founder
Traditional Incense - Thắp Nắng Project
Cultural Traditions & Household Management has been a central part of my upbringing, reflecting my deep commitment to preserving and passing down the cultural practices that have shaped my identity. From a young age, I have been actively involved in family rituals and traditions, especially through the guidance of my uncle, who is a skilled artisan in Chóa Village, Bắc Ninh. He specializes in the art of incense-making, a craft passed down through generations. Growing up, I spent countless hours by his side, learning how to craft incense using natural materials, a process that requires patience, precision, and an understanding of the deep cultural significance embedded in each product.
But beyond the technical aspects of incense-making, I came to realize the true value of these activities. They represent a deeper connection to our ancestors and the customs that have been preserved over centuries. I participated in various rituals, such as preparing offerings and performing ancestor worship during key cultural celebrations like Tết and the full moon ceremonies. These practices have taught me not just about the rituals themselves but about the importance of family, respect for tradition, and the continuity of culture.
Through this experience, I also took on the responsibility of teaching my younger brother the significance of these customs. I compiled a small handbook, documenting the steps involved in these rituals and the stories behind them, ensuring that these traditions are passed down to him. This personal commitment to upholding family heritage has deepened my sense of cultural pride and reinforced the importance of preserving these practices for future generations.
This engagement with Cultural Traditions & Household Management has taught me invaluable lessons about responsibility, discipline, and the significance of cultural preservation. It has made me more aware of the role I play in sustaining the values that have defined my family and our community for generations.
